Last January, I celebrated my snow days with some haiku reviews. Little did I know that the East Coast would be attacked by a snow storm almost exactly a year later - and that I’d be back here doing this again! Enjoy these cold movies that are perfect for bundling up inside.
Cecil B. Demented (2000)
I love Baltimore
and I love movies, so this
movie is perfect.
Erin Brockovich (2000)
Julia Roberts
is on fire in this film
about water. Zing!
Traffic (2000)
Soderbergh winning
for this and not “Brockovich”
is dumb in hindsight.
Best in Show (2000)
Best paired with Tommy
Tomlinson’s book “Dogland” - am
I a dog show guy?
Cast Away (2000)
“Survivor” premiered
just six months before this, what
a coincidence!
Coyote Ugly (2000)
I could easily
watch this movie every
day. What a…soundtrack!
Ready to Rumble (2000)
Very watchable
quite funny, and delivers
on the wrestling.
Almost Famous (2000)
Kate Hudson is so
good. This is Exhibit A.
B is “Song Sung Blue.”
The Skulls (2000)
To my great shame, I
rushed a fraternity and…
it was not like this.
Bring It On (2000)
Kirsten Dunst has one
of the best career batting
averages. Just heat.
