Just like last year, my plan to cap off Halloween (and a month devoted entirely to scary movies) was to write another batch of my Haiku Reviews. I think it's a fun way to show what I watched that month and I love writing them.
This year, however, my list just grew and grew and grew! I've been watching too much! I decided to split it up, dropping the first half now and the second half, as planned, on Halloween. Here's what I've watched this month so far:
Son of Frankenstein (1939)
Karloff, Lugosi,
Rathbone - what more could you ask
for? Nothing, really.
The Mummy’s Hand (1940)
I can’t imagine
really anything worse than
immortality
Dracula Has Risen from the Grave (1968)
The poster is so
great that the movie can’t live
up! (Obviously)
Dracula (1979)
The version of this
film that’s desaturated
is really ugly!
The Pit (1981)
It’s a tale as old
as time: the story of a
boy and his big pit
Lord of Illusions (1995)
Horny Bakula
fans beware! The weird sex stuff
isn’t about him!
The Return of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1995)
McConaughey was
the perfect choice. I wish he’d
make another one.
The Cabin in the Woods (2011)
“I’m drawing a line
in the fucking sand here. Do
NOT read the Latin!”
Cobweb (2023)
Substitute teachers,
at least the ones I had, just
told us to shut up
Totally Killer (2023)
The hottest selling
mask in clearance aisles on
November the First
