An "SNL" Christmas Video Mixtape

Christmas is the season for giving and for taking.

Christmas is just around the corner and although "I Wish It Was Christmas Today," we can get ready with this video mixtape of my favorite Saturday Night Live holiday sketches, from the classics off the compilation DVD I spun as a child to my personal go-to videos:

I love Chevy Chase and you can't stop me. Let's kick this off with a Season 1 favorite - and it wasn't a cold open without Chevy falling from a ridiculous distance. Also, the simplicity of his Ford is its genius. "How about, Dr. President?" gets me every time.

This 2008 episode is the one featured in James Franco's previously hard-to-find documentary Saturday Night, which follows the cast and crew from the beginning of the week up until goodnights. As of publication, it's on YouTube and has been for a few years, but you never know. Act now.

Anyway, this is no "Empire Carpet," but it's still damn funny. Malkovich is a mad man.
